Job description: Resumen de descripción de puesto: Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor and working closely with the support staff, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for effective procurement activities across the Cobre Panama site in accordance with Group policies and procedures, as well as the adherence to all relevant statutory requirements. Responsabilidades clave: o Implementar y dar seguimiento a la estrategia de compras locales, en coordinación con Compras y Asuntos Comunitarios. o Gestionar y mantener actualizada la base de datos de proveedores locales, incluyendo sus capacidades y oportunidades de negocio. o Actuar como enlace entre proveedores, equipo de Compras y áreas internas, asegurando una comunicación fluida. o Identificar oportunidades para proveedores locales y acompañarlos en su incorporación y participación en procesos de compra. o Brindar orientación en procesos de registro, licitación y gestión de pagos.
